Business News Desk, There is big news for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Scheme). Crores of farmers of the country who were waiting for the money for the 13th installment, their wait will end today. PM Modi will release an amount of Rs 16,800 crore in the bank accounts of more than 8 crore farmers today i.e. on Monday. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has given information about this by tweeting.
6000 rupees are given annually
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme, eligible farmers are given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The scheme was introduced in February, 2019, but was deemed to be effective from December, 2018.
Many ministers including Agriculture Minister will be present
According to an official statement, Prime Minister Modi will release the 13th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme at a program organized in Belagavi, Karnataka. Around one lakh people including beneficiaries of PM Kisan and Jal Jeevan Mission are expected to participate in the event. During this, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja will also be present.
How many installments have been released
The 11th installment of PM-Kisan scheme was released in May, 2022 while the 12th installment was released in October, 2022. Under this scheme, a total amount of Rs 2.25 lakh crore has been distributed to more than 11 crore farmers so far. Out of this, Rs 1.75 lakh crore was given to the farmers in several installments during the Kovid-19 period.
