Business News Desk,The money for the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has been sent to the beneficiaries associated with PM Kisan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 13th installment of over Rs 16,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan). This will benefit eight crore beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer.
PM Kisan
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was launched by PM Modi in 2019 with an aim to provide income support to all farmers. All landholding farmer households in the country are eligible under PM-KISAN subject to certain exclusion criteria.
PM Kisan Yojana
The 11th and 12th installments under the scheme were given in May and October last year. According to officials, Rs 1.75 lakh crore was distributed in several installments to help these farmers who were facing difficulties during the Kovid lockdown. The scheme has also benefitted more than three crore women beneficiaries, who have collectively received funds of over Rs 53,600 crore.
Eligibility for PM Kisan
Ownership of agricultural land: The scheme is applicable only for those farmers who have agricultural land in their name. The land should either be owned by the farmer or he should be a lessee. The scheme is applicable for all the small and marginal farmers who have up to 2 hectares of land. There is no age limit to apply for the scheme. This scheme is applicable only for Indian citizens. There should be an active bank account in the name of farmers. To apply in the scheme, farmers must have Aadhaar card. You must have KYC under this scheme.
