Railways had sought bids

For this, Railways recently invited bids for new Vande Bharat aluminum trains, on which many companies have bid for the construction and maintenance of trains. Among these applicants, Alstom of France, Medha Servo Drives of Hyderabad have bid for the project. According to information, the consortium has bid for about Rs 58,000 crore, of which the cost of manufacturing a train set is Rs 120 crore, which is The cost of the last Vande Bharat trains made by ICF-Chennai is less than Rs 128 crore each. set. The second lowest bid was from Titagarh-BHEL, which quoted the cost of building a Vande Bharat at Rs 139.8 crore.

Till now only 10 trains have been received

While no official announcement has been made yet, it is believed that the upcoming Vande Bharat trains will now be manufactured by Russian firm Transmashholding (TMH) and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). The country has received only ten Vande Bharat trains so far.
