PM Modi has given great relief to more than eight crore beneficiaries under the scheme on Monday. PM Modi has released the 13th installment of more than Rs 16,000 crore for the beneficiaries of the scheme. In this scheme, the beneficiaries get Rs 6000 annually. An installment of Rs 2000 is released three times a year.
Let us tell you that during this time PM Modi also inaugurated the redeveloped building of Belagavi Railway Station in Karnataka and dedicated it to this country. Passengers will get world class facilities at this station. This station has been given a new look at a cost of about Rs 190 crore. Along with this, PM Modi also dedicated the rail line doubling project between Londa-Belagavi-Ghatprabha section in Belagavi to the nation.
Developed at a cost of approximately Rs 930 crore, the project will enhance the capacity of the busy Mumbai-Pune-Hubli-Bengaluru railway line, thereby boosting trade, commerce and economic activities in the region. Modi also laid the foundation stone for six multi-village planning projects under the Centre’s Jal Jeevan Mission in Belagavi. These will be developed at a cumulative cost of about Rs 1,585 crore and will benefit about 8.8 lakh people living in more than 315 villages.
The event was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje, state government ministers and others. Prime Minister Modi is on a one-day visit to Karnataka. Assembly elections are to be held here in May. Earlier in the day, he inaugurated the greenfield Shivamogga airport.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme launched by Modi in the year 2019 aims to provide income support to all landholding farmer families having cultivable land across the country. So far, an amount of more than Rs 2.25 lakh crore has been disbursed under the scheme to more than 11 crore farmer families, mainly small and marginal farmers.
